Landmark Gives Back
At Landmark Vineyards, we care deeply about the communities where our employees live, work and play. Giving back is an important part of our company’s DNA. That’s why we offer $80,000 in Landmark Grants every year to serve schools and nonprofit organizations in the Sonoma Valley and Russian River Valley.
In the fall of 2018, we launched the second annual Landmark School Grants program, which directly benefits classrooms in the area. This grant program has already funded 87 projects supporting 74 teachers and 8,890 students. One especially important project at Flowery Elementary in Sonoma provided funding for art materials for an after-school club to paint a mural, spreading hope and creativity after the October 2017 wildfires.
On January 1, Landmark’s Community Grants program opened applications for 2019 grants. This program invites local nonprofit organizations to apply for one of ten $5,000 grants. The winning organizations were chosen by a selection committee comprised of Landmark employees from throughout our company. One of our favorites is the Valley Vibes Orchestra, supported by the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation. The program brings orchestral music to students while also helping them develop social and academic skills, resiliency, motivation and self-confidence. You might catch one of their frequent public performances next time you’re in the Sonoma Plaza.
