Legacy Meets Future

Jun 07, 2018

Landmark Vineyards has a legacy as a well-regarded Chardonnay producer. Our founder, Damaris Deere Ford, loved Chardonnay and our member favorite, Damaris Reserve, is an homage to her varietal preference. Since the early 90s, our winemaking philosophy has been to source the best fruit and take a hands-off approach to our winemaking. Simply stated, we let the vineyard and the vintage shine through. We have established long-term partnerships with growers in cool-climate growing regions throughout California. Since 1997, we have received countless accolades for our Chardonnay and, in recent years, we are seeing just as much recognition for our Pinot Noirs. We have built a strong portfolio of Pinot Noirs that express some of California’s best vineyards.

Legacy meets future

Our revered grower relationships have allowed us to get the best fruit, allowing us to expand our portfolio of Pinot Noirs and now produce single-vineyard-designated wines from some of the top locations along the California coast.

Our legacy as a Chardonnay producer has now met our future as a top Pinot Noir producer with the addition of our Hop Kiln Estate vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Around here we get giddy when we find a special vineyard worthy of designating as a single vineyard—and our own estate is no different. This year we are very excited to release the first estate single-vineyard Pinot Noirs from Landmark Vineyards. Members will get first access to this special inaugural vintage.
