About the Wine

We’re excited to release our fifth vintage of Pinot Noir from our Hop Kiln Estate. With three unique soil types, the grapes from this vineyard produce the famous plush and rich style of Pinot Noir of this region. Harvested from a truly landmark vineyard located on the coveted Westside Road in the Russian River Valley, this unique bottle also features the iconic and historical stone hop kilns, which the California Heritage Society have named a historical landmark. The 2021 Hop Kiln Estate Pinot Noir was recently awarded a Platinum Medal at the 2023 TEXSOM International Wine Awards.

Tasting Notes

Varietal Composition

  • % Pinot Noir

Ruby at the core with slow-forming tears at the rim.

Aromatic with ripe black cherry, black raspberry, and strawberry with well-integrated savory notes of barrel spice, sweet tobacco, and vanilla.

The palate shows red plum, cranberry, and black berry fruit on entry, followed on the midpalate by subtle earthy notes of fall leaves and chanterelle mushrooms with textured tannins. The lengthy finish is balanced and complex with deep savory notes of cocoa and leather that blend seamlessly with the persistent fruit notes.
