About the Wine

Our 2022 Grand Detour Pinot Noir was sourced from Landmark’s historic Hop Kiln Estate located on Westside Road in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Crafting this wine from estate grapes grown in the respected Middle Reach of the Russian River Valley AVA gives our winemaker the flexibility to select his favorite blocks with unique grape and rootstock combinations. The fruit for the 2022 Grand Detour was hand-harvested at night and delivered to the winery before sunrise, ensuring the integrity and character of this delicate Pinot Noir.

Deep ruby colored with a hint of purple at the core.

Aroma

Aromatic and complex with ripe fruit of red berries, ripe black cherry, strawberry jam, along with floral accents of violet, a touch of earthiness, and baking spice.

Palate

The palate is medium bodied and showing layers of bright red and black fruit on entry with layers of vanilla, cinnamon and oak accompanied with earthy beetroot notes on the mid-palate, ending in a moderately long finish with lingering fruit, spice and oak with fine, silky tannins.
