About the Wine
Ideally situated on the northeastern edge of the prestigious Sta. Rita Hills appellation, this
esteemed vineyard is the sole source of our Dierberg Pinot Noir. The uniquely eastwest-oriented valley allows the unimpeded flow of fog and ocean breezes to shape distinct microclimates, making the region one of the coolest viticultural areas in California. The persistent maritime influences that sweep in daily from the Pacific Ocean dictate a longer, slower growing season, expressed in this wine’s great structure and complexity.
